VicWest Recyclers of Stawell, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vatmi Industries, has recently been successful in winning major kerbside collection/acceptance & sortation contracts with both the Rural City of Ararat and North Grampians Shire Council. Speaking from Vatmi's Head Office in Kew, CEO Greg Wasmund said, "Vatmi is a serious participant in the waste business and our success here further underpins our growth ambitions. Our local management and the capability of their team in Stawell obviously played a large part in our success, and they are to be congratulated. We took some risks with the purchase of this business some 12 months ago and this success underpins it's long term future. We now look forward to working with the communities of Stawell and Ararat in providing a first rate recycling service and the provision of supported employment for up to 20 employees."
