Food Packaging

 

VATPAK has the following resources in place to provide for your food Packaging requirements:

  • Council approved food rooms at Kew, Keon Park and Bendigo.
  • Food rooms are temperature controlled.
  • Organic Certification at Keon Park and Kew.
  • Currently seeking HACCP approval.
  • All food handling staff will be undertaking a food handling certificate.
  • Cool rooms where temperatures can be set at a constant 5 degrees Celsius.

Procedures and Services:

  • All Employees are required to wear hairnets, dustcoats and thoroughly wash before commencing work in food rooms.
  • VatPak has the ability use more than one site to produce large jobs.
  • Quality checks are performed in line with our Quality Management System (QMS) which is constantly audited by major confectionery and food manufacturers.

                              

Equipment:

  • Vertical Form fill and seal by weight or volume
  • Fill and weigh equipment for preformed bags, Pouches, jars tins or canisters.
  • Flow wrapping
  • An over wrapper for box type products.
  • Shrink Wrappers and shrink sleeve application.
  • Heat sealing equipment for preformed bags or pouches
  • Metal Detecting
  • Blending
